According to Ubergizmo, Lenovo initially announced in November 2011 that it is working on a Windows-powered smartphone by mid-2012. This device is being marketed as the SoftBank 503LV even though it carries the logo of Lenovo.

The SoftBank 503LV has a 5-inch high-definition TFT LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.5 GHz. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card. It is packed with a 2250 mAh battery. It features a microSDXC card reader, an 8-megapixel camera at the back, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front of the phone. Its connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and 4G LTE.

The SoftBank 503LV is targeting business people - similar to other Windows 10 Mobile devices. It will support Skype for Business, Office Mobile, and Microsoft Continuum to connect a keyboard and mouse and to display apps on a desktop.

The SoftBank 503LV would be available for purchase in Japan in late October. There have been no official announcements yet about the prices of the device.
