Manny Harris Named Player of the Week in 20th Round of China's Minor Basketball League

Former NBA player Manny Harris of Anhui Wenyi had an outstanding double-double performance earning him the right to be once again named Asia-Basket.com NBL Player of the Week in the 20th round of the professional minor basketball league of China.
The 26-year-old American basketball reinforcement showed off a very impressive performance by scoring 49 big points and grabbing 11 boards. Harris led the Anhui to victory against Hualan with a 119-101 scoreline.

Harris, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014, has turned to be the Chinese club's top player with his very imposing stats this season. The 6-foot-5 tall native of Detroit has steered Anhui to an 18-2 win-loss record. The team now shares the No. 1 spot in the league with Shaanxi.
According to Asia-Basket, Harris is the NBL's third-best in scoring, having an average of 39.6 points per game. He is the league's best player in steals, registering 3.7 steals per contest with a solid 58.8 percent shooting accuracy from the field.
He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010 to 2012 in a total of 80 official games. Harris also played for Canton Charge, Los Angeles D-Fenders and Texas Legends in the Developmental League of the NBA.
Harris is a former All-Big Ten Conference guard who played three seasons for the NCAA Division I men's basketball team of the University of Michigan Wolverines from 2007 to 2010. During his stint with the Wolverines, the 2014 NBA D-League All-Star played a total of 98 games while averaging 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per outing.
According to the official website of the NBA, Harris also played nine official games for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2013-14 season. He was averaging 8.1 points and 3.8 boards in 20 minutes of playing time.
