Unannounced Xiaomi Altun Smartphone Spotted on GeekBench, Probably New Redmi Note 4

(Photo : YouTube Screenshot) Xiaomi may be gearing to unveil the successor of the Xiaomi Mi Note phablet next month.
An unannounced Xiaomi Altun smartphone has been spotted on the GeekBench benchmarking website and could probably be the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
The listing shows that the Xiaomi Altun is powered by an octa-core chipset. It comes with a 2 GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The has been tested 25 times on the aforementioned benchmarking website starting early in May. The field is left blank each time the chipset is used. The handset scored fairly consistent results. It got a single-core score of 798 and a multi-core score of 2664 during its last test result. It was tested on May 8 and got the highest single-core score of 980. While on June 30, it got the peak multi-core score of 4076, Gizmo China reported.

According to Phone Arena, another smartphone codenamed Xiaomi Capricorn was also spotted earlier this month on Geekbench site. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It has a quad-core chipset clocked at a speed of 2 GHz. It runs on Android 6.0.1 operating system and comes with a 3 GB of RAM.
There are rumors that Xiaomi is set to release three variants of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 soon, probably next month. If these rumors are true, then these variants will be the successor to the 5.7-inch Xiaomi Mi Note phablet.
