The Huawei Honor 8 will be released in the United States at an event set for August 16 in San Francisco. The company has sent out invitations for the event.
According to Vine Report, even though the company only announced the event and not the release of the Honor 8 smartphone, the company used the number 8 and referred to the dual-camera setup. This has led to rumors that the device will be launched at the event. However, there has been no announcements about which variant will be released and how much the device would cost. There has also been no word yet on whether the event launch will be streamed.

The Honor 8 has a 5.2-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, Slash Gear reported. It has a 2.5D curved glass material and is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset. It was launched in China ín three variants an entry-level model with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, a midrange model with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, and a premium model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
Honor 8 features a 12-megapixel camera at the back with a dual setup, dual-tone LED flash, and phase detection autofocus. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chatting. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion user interface 4.1 from the company. It is packed with a 3000 mAh battery. Its connectivity option is 4G LTE. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, and Near-field communication (NFC).
