Olympic-bound Chinese athletes are preparing for success at the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next month after four years of hard work and waiting.
The Asian powerhouse announced on Monday that it will be sending the country's largest Olympic athletic delegation ever with a contingent of 416 athletes that include 35 Olympic champions. China has also pledged to take efforts against doping.

According to China.org, the Chinese delegation is composed of 160 men and 256 women. The athletes will be competing in 210 events in 26 sports at the quadrennial Games, which will kick off on August 5.
China's sports minister and the delegation chief Liu Peng underlined that a clean competition is China's top priority in their Rio campaign.
"Holding a strong stance against doping, we've implemented a zero-tolerance policy against drug use and have taken all necessary measures to guarantee cleanness of our quest for athletic success in Rio," Liu said during Monday's ceremony in Beijing.
China Anti-Doping Agency, which has been in cooperation with the international anti-doping authorities, has carried out a series of competition and pre-event doping tests, while conducting education against accidentally taking drugs in contaminated food, China Daily reported.
China has been successful in past Olympic Games. The Asian giants won 51 gold medals when they hosted the prestigious quadrennial sporting event in Beijing in 2008 and bagged 38 medals in the 2012 London Games.
China is expecting to scrape up most of its golds from six sports event where the country usually dominates - gymnastics, badminton, shooting, table tennis, diving, and weightlifting. However, with recent sports development and the emergence of other participating countries, Chinese Olympians are expected to face a tougher battle to maintain the country's supremacy in its traditionally strong events.
"However, we should try our hardest to make progress in high-profile and mass popular events such as swimming, track and field and collective ball games in Rio, to inspire greater public participation in sports," Liu said.
