Reeling team Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC (3-9-6, 15 points) is set to face hard-luck squad Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (7-4-7, 28 points) in a 2016 Chinese Super League season match at the Yutong International Sports Center on Thursday, July 21.

Shijiazhuang is currently at the bottom two relegation spot, at 15th place in the overall standings, with 12 games left in the season as they are on a five-game winless slide. The team is also winless in nine of their last ten outings as head coach Li Jinyu is having problems with his boys' offense.

The Yutong residents are coming off a 0-0 draw with fellow lowly squad Hangzhou Greentown FC at the Jinhua Sports Center last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

Despite the goalless tie, Ever Bright snapped their four-game losing skid, which allowed them to add a point to their total in the league table.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua managed to win their Shanghai derby with Shanghai SIPG FC, 2-1, at the Hongkou Football Stadium also last Sunday, but with the expense of a season-ending injury to Senegalese striker Demba Ba, Cri English reported.

The former Chelsea striker went out of the game at the 72nd minute, with the Massive leading by a point via a 55th-minute goal from Wu Lei, after he suffered a gruesome leg fracture that saw his left leg split into two pieces after an accidental clashing of legs with SIPG captain Sun Xiang.

Ba, the CSL's top scorer this term with 14 goals in 18 matches, was immediately rushed to the hospital and is set for surgery this Friday to repair his broken leg.

His teammates carried the load in the second half to pull off a come-from-behind victory with Cao Yunding and Fredy Guarin scoring a goal each late in the game.

Ba is expected to be temporarily replaced by former Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins as he is set to be sidelined for at least seven months according to reports.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Shanghai Shenhua.
