Big Hit Issues Apology for BTS Rap Monster’s Absence at Beijing Concert

South Korean entertainment agency Big Hit has released a statement apologizing to Chinese fans for BTS member Rap Monster's absence during the Beijing leg of the group's concert, Soompi reported.

On July 23, Bangtan Seonyeondan, a seven-member boy group more popularly known as BTS, was in China as part of their "2016 BTS LIVE Asia Tour." However, during the band's stop in Beijing, member Rap Monster left the stage in the middle of their performance.
According to reports, Rap Monster fell on stage while performing. The idol is said to have left the stage and did not come back to perform for the rest of the show, causing worry among fans.
After the incident, the remaining six members carried on with the show.
In light of the incident, Big Hit Entertainment released a statement via Twitter on July 24 to explain the reason for idol's absence during the Beijing show, according to AllKpop.
Big Hit stated that Rap Monster felt ill while performing. The talent agency explained that the idol suffered from breathing difficulty due to lack of oxygen and heat. Big Hit assured fans that Rap Monster is recuperating and that his condition is not lasting.
The agency noted that the idol did not continue to perform with the rest of the members because they considered his health as top priority.
"We are sincerely sorry to the Beijing fans who attended the concert and all the fans who were worried," Big Hit wrote on Twitter.
BTS have just wrapped up the China leg of their Asian tour, and will be performing in Manila, Philippines on July 30. The tour would continue in August in Bangkok, Thailand following their appearance at the K-Con 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
