Shaanxi Xinda Wolves Extends Winning Streak, Tops Guizhou Senhang in 25th Round of Chinese NBL

The league's top team Shaanxi Xinda Wolves continued their dominance after defeating Guizhou Senhang with an impressive 91-78 victory in the 25th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Sunday.
With the win, the Wolves improved to an NBL's best win-loss record of 23-2. The Zhengxiu Jiang-headed basketball team is currently the No. 1 club in the league's table. Shaanxi is on a seven-game winning run.

According to Asia-Basket, former Clemson University Tigers player James Mays led the Wolves with a double-double production of game-highs 30 points and 15 rebounds along with three assists and three steals in 48 minutes of playing.
Tyler Wilkerson, an ex- Marshall University Thundering Herd player, also had a double-double game performance of 25 points and 10 boards for the winners, who ended the five-game winning streak of Guizhou. Domestic players Xiaohang Yu and Xiang Liqing contributed a combined 20 points for Shaanxi.
The Wolves are set to play Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos, while Guizhou will play Hebei Xianglan in the 26th round of the Chinese professional minor basketball league.
According to NowGoal, Guizhou dominated the first 24 minutes of the game, winning the opening quarter 28-22 and ending the second period with a 21-20 run. However, after the halftime break, Shaanxi was able to regroup and launch a 27-13 third quarter charge to take the lead 69-62 entering the final period of the match.
In the fourth quarter, the Wolves continued to pound the opposing club with a 22-16 run and never relinquished the lead to seal the victory.
American swingman David Young paced the Guodong Zhang-headed Guizhou with 26 points and six rebounds while Brandon Costner had 19 points and 11 boards.
