Volleyball Hall of Famer Jenny Lang Ping of China vowed to lead the national women's volleyball squad to "good results" ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games upon his arrival in the City of Rio de Janeiro on Monday afternoon.

The 55-year-old veteran volleyball mentor guided China to the country's fourth FIVB World Cup title in 2015 in Japan. Under Lang's watch, China won ten matches and only lost once during the tournament.
According to Xinhua, Zhu Ting, 21, will be leading the Chinese side as nine of the 12 players of the national team are to make their Olympic debut in Rio. The multi-awarded setter Wei Qiuyue and 2013 Asian Volleyball Championship Best Blocker Xu Yunli will be competing for their third Olympic Games while outside hitter Hui Ruoqi is the only other player who went to the 2012 London Games.
China will start its Olympic campaign on Saturday with a match against the 11th-ranked Netherlands. China will also play Italy, USA, Serbia, and Puerto Rico with the top four finishers to qualify for the quarterfinals.
According to the Indian Express, while much of the focus in Rio will be on the battle between the top-ranked United States and the defending champion Brazil, the Asian volleyball powerhouse could surprise everyone.
