Chinese smartphone manufacturer UMi has been marketing its upcoming flagship device, the UMi Max. The company has been slowly released information about the specs of the upcoming device.
A handful of photos released by UMi revealed that the Max smartphone sports a pretty interesting design that combines elegance and ergonomics. The chassis will be made out of magnesium-aluminum alloy which will give the device durability without sacrificing its weight.

The UMi Max is expected to have a 6-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. It would be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with a Mali T860 graphics processing unit. The device has 3GB of LPDDR3 memory and 16GB of storage space which can be expanded by up to 256GB.
The device features a massive 4,000mAh battery pack which the company claims can last for up to 15 days on standby mode. The UMi Max will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter. It will also support USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.
The UMi Max is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. With these specs, many tech experts believe that the Max smartphone will rival the Samsung Note 7. Aside from challenging the new flagship device from the South Korean tech giant, UMi is also looking to challenge the Oppo R9. Whether the UMi Max can beat the two devices remains to be seen. However, many analysts agree that the Max will have a good fighting chance if it is cheaper than the Samsung Note 7 and Oppo R9.
