Winless teams Venezuela (0-2, 2 points) and China (0-2, 2 points) will have the opportunity to register their first win in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics as they square off at the Carioca Arena 1 in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, August 10 in the third round of Group A competitions in the Games' men's basketball tournament.

The reigning FIBA Americas champions lost their first two matches in the tournament with an 86-62 beating from Serbia in their Olympic opener and a 113-69 demolition in the hands of the mighty United States in their second round match on Monday, as per The Guardian.

Despite the lopsided score against the Americans, four players of head coach Nestor Garcia actually scored in double figures, namely shooting guard John Cox, who topscored with 19 points, center Gregory Echenique with 18, point guard David Cubillan with 10, and backup playmaker Gregory Vargas also with 10.

Echenique also led the team in rebounds with seven, followed by substitute forward Anthony Perez with three, as La Vinotinto were outrebounded by the bigger, faster, and more skillful Team USA.

Meanwhile, China also dropped their second straight game after losing to France, 88-60, in their own second round match also on Monday, NBC Olympics reported.

Former NBA player Yi Jianlian continues to lead Team Dragon with 19 points and six rebounds in the match, both team-high statistics, while he was supported this time by 22-year-old center Wang Zhelin with 11 points.

Houston Rockets draft pick Zhou Qi, who was replaced by head coach Gong Luming in the starting lineup with Wang, had a disappointing stint on the floor, finishing with only five points and no rebounds in almost 18 minutes of playing time.

While the Venezuelans are slightly more athletic that China, the latter are much taller, younger, and have better outside shooters and so Coach Gong's team is favored to win this match.

The predicted result is an 88-78 victory for China.

Venezuela starting lineup: G. Echenique (C), W. Graterol (PF), J. Vargas (SF), J. Cox (SG), D. Cubillan (PG)

China starting lineup: Zhou Q. (C), Yi J. (PF), Ding Y. (SF), Zhou P. (SG), Zhao J. (PG)
