Australia handed China its fourth-straight loss in the group stage of the men's basketball tournament at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games on Friday.
The Boomers, who played without Golden State Warriors veteran center Andrew Bogut, dominated the Chinese squad with a 93-68 victory to remain on track for a second place in Group A behind the powerhouse United States. With the win, Australia has secured a berth in the quarterfinals.

A second-place finish would enable the Australian to avoid facing the United States once again until a potential showdown in the championship round. The United States defeated Australia on Wednesday with a 98-88 win.
According to Xinhua, former Chicago Bulls forward Cameron Bairstow led the 2015 FBA Oceania Championships kings with 17 points and nine rebounds while shooting 7 for 13 from the field. Borck Motum had 15 markers while Aron Baynes and David Anderson chipped in 12 points apiece.
China, which was placed in Group A, the "Death Group", with Serbia, Australia, France, Venezuela, and the USA, remains the only team in the group without a win. The Chinese squad has suffered consecutive losses from the United States, France, and Venezuela.
"We got no pressure for the game, and we really want to play well. But the truth is we were still tight at the beginning, and thought too much throughout the whole game," the Chinese team's head coach Gong Luming said after the game.
According to Fox News Latino, former Milwaukee Bucks player Yi Jianlian poured in a game-high 20 points and pulled down nine boards to lead the Asian powerhouse.
Guo Ailun finished the match with 11 points and 5 assists while Ding Yanyuhang and Zou Yuchen scored eight points apiece for the losing side.
