Hebei Xianglan Ousts Luoyang Zhonghe, to Face Guizhou Senhang in Semifinals

Hebei Xianglan has secured a ticket to the semifinal round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) after eliminating Luoyang Zhonghe with a 143-126 victory in the decisive game No. 5 of their quarterfinal series on Friday.
According to Asia-Basket, Tony Mitchell finished the match with a remarkable triple-double game performance of 41 big points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists, along two steals to lead Hebei to the victory. The former Milwaukee Bucks player went 16 for 35 from the field and made 9 of 13 from the free-throw line in 44 minutes of playing.

Former North Texas Mean Green hotshot Shannon Shorter had an impressive double-double production of game-high 44 huge points and 10 boards with eight assists and two steals for the winners. Local players Xuepeng Song and Pan Yue added 21 points and 14 points, respectively.
Hebei dominated the boards, outrebounding Luoyang in both offensive and defensive rebounds with a team-combined 63 boards compared to the losing side's 36. The winning team also moved the ball much better by registering 23 assists while Luoyang only had 14.
With the victory, Hebei is set to face Guizhou Senhang on Sunday.
Hebei established a comfortable 23-point advantage 110-87 after three-quarters played. With a huge deficit, Luoyang still tried to make a comeback and staged a 39-33 run during the final period but it was not enough to steal the game.
