According to NowGoal, the game was close at the very start of the match. Guizhou capped the opening period with a two-point lead after staging a 30-28 run. They kept their slim hold of the lead until getting a break with a 26-25 charge and ended the first half of the game leading 56-53.
After the break, Hebei found new energy and stormed the opposing team with a remarkable 34-26 third quarter outburst to overtake the lead 87-82 going into the final period of the game.
The Guodong Zhang-headed basketball side did not give in and surrender the fight easily as Guizhou managed to outscore Hebei and fought back hard during the final twelve minutes of the match. They scored 32 points while containing the winning team to only produce 29 points but Hebei managed to survive the fourth quarter scare to take the second game of the series.
