Chinese tech giant Meizu has finally launched its highly-anticipated smartwatch, the Meizu Mix. Unlike most smartwatches that sport a digital display, the Meizu Mix comes with an analog display which makes it look more like a traditional timepiece rather than a high-tech device.

Meizu announced that the Mix smartwatch would be released in the Chinese market starting October. The smartwatch comes in two colors: black and silver. Aside from the color variant, the Mix also comes in three different strap designs: stainless steel, leather, and denim.

The Meizu Mix is housed in a 24mm case and protected by a sapphire glass screen. The smartwatch has a LED notification light, vibration support for notification, and is completely waterproof. The smartwatch also comes with standard sensors like an accelerometer and gyroscope.

The smartwatch can be synced to support a smartphone through Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Pairing the Meizu Mix with a smartphone requires the Meizu app.

The Meizu Mix has a 270mAh battery pack which the company claims can last up to 240 days on standby. While this spec is still up for debate, many tech analysts are convinced that the Meizu Mix can achieve this due to its analog display instead of a digital one which requires more battery power.

Meizu is currently accumulating enough capital to start production of its smartwatch. Interested buyers can support the device through the crowdfunding platform Taobao. The company aims to put together roughly $75,000.

According to Indian Express, once the Meizu Mix hits the market, the model with the stainless steel strap will cost around $225, the one with a denim strap will cost $150, and the one with a leather strap will cost $195.
