Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has announced that its latest device - the Gionee S6s smartphone - is now available in India. The latest smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon India at Rs. 17,902.35 (approximately $267 / 1773.61 Yuan).

The Gionee S6s smartphone is the company's latest addition to the family on its mid-range devices. The device is a direct competitor to other popular Chinese brands such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Lenovo's Vibe K5 Note smartphone.

The Gionee S6s smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPC display screen with 2.5D curved edge glass. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at a speed of 1.3 Ghz. It comes equipped with a massive 3GB of RAM onboard and a built-in 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

The Gionee S6s sports a 13-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system of the box, along with Gionee's Amigo 3.2 user interface. It is fueled by a non-removable 3150 mAh capacity battery inside.

Other features the device offers include a fingerprint sensor, 2G / 3G / 4G with VoLTE network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. Sensors on the phone include an Ambient Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Gyroscope, and Accelerometer.  

The Gionee S6s smartphone will be available in Latte Gold and Mocha Gold color. The device measures a body dimension of 154.50 x 75.60 x 8.15 and weighs 161.00 grams.
