Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vernee has only released two smartphones. The company has focused on the development of its products even after their official release. True to this, the company recently announced that it is rolling out the second over-the-air (OTA) firmware update of the Apollo Lite smartphone.

Many users and tech analysts have lauded Apollo for its timely and frequent updates. Something that shows just how committed the company is towards not only its products, but also its customers.

According to Giz China, the Vernee Apollo Lite received its first firmware update a couple of months ago, and now a second one is already ready for release. Apollo did not confirm when the update will be officially rolled out, although rumors claim that it should be within this week. Just like the first update, the second update is expected to be released OTA.

According to Giz China, the second Vernee Apollo Lite firmware update should fix some notable bugs and bring in performance enhancements and optimizations. One specific issue concerning unstable connections when using 3G and 4G networks is expected to be fixed with the upcoming update. Moreover, the update is also expected to fix compatibility issues with regards to local network providers.

Powering the Apollo Lite is the MediaTek Helio X20 MTK6797 chipset with a deca-core processor, 4GB of memory, and 32GB of storage space, according to Gear Best. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has a fingerprint scanner, and a 16-megapixel rear facing camera.
