Chinese Basketball Association Team Qingdao Double Star Eagles Inks Former NBA Player Dominique Jones

Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) team Qingdao Double Star Eagles has reportedly hired the services of the former NBA player Dominique Jones to play for the club.
According to Asia-Basket, the 27-year-old native of Lake Wales, Florida recently played in the Chinese league in the 2015-16 season, fitting in with the Shanxi Brave Dragons team. Jones played 18 official games with the North division side while posting impressive averages of 32.8 points and 8.6 rebounds in 41.8 minutes of playing.

During his stint with the Dragons, Jones was the league's third-best play-maker, registering 7.4 assists per contest and finished as the third-leading player in steals, posting an average of 3.0 steals per game. He helped Shanxi to a tenth-place finish last season having a win-loss record of 18 wins and 20 losses.
Jones is listed as 6-foot-5-inches tall (1.96 meters) and weighs 215 pounds (98 kg). He plays the positions of a guard and was a notable scorer during his collegiate days.
He played college basketball for the University of South Florida Bulls in the NCAA Division I from 2007 to 2010. Jones averaged 21.4 points, 6.1 boards, and 3.6 assists and was named to the All-Big East First Team in his final season with the collegiate squad.
In the 2010 NBA Draft, Jones was drafted 25th overall pick selected by the Memphis Grizzlies. However, the Robert Pera-majority owned basketball club immediately traded his rights to the Dallas Mavericks, where he played for three seasons.
Jones appeared for a total of 80 official matches with the Mavericks. He was averaging 3.1 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 9.1 minutes in the hard wood while shooting 36.6 percent from the field and a 72.9 percent free throw shooter.
Jones also previously played with the teams of Liaoning Flying Leopards and Jilin Northeastern Tigers in the CBA and with the Texas Legends and Springfield Armor in the NBA D-League.
