NBA's back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is the latest face of startup digital media outfit PressPlay. The company would be releasing exclusive videos of the basketball superstar just in time for the start of the 2016-17 season in October.
With PressPlay, Curry would be able to reach an audience of 620 million Chinese smartphone users and 641 million digital viewers.

Sports Illustrated noted that viewers would be able to follow the NBA's 2016 scoring champion through his training, family time, and other behind-the-scenes footage. Curry will also answer questions from fans via a pre-recorded live stream.
"With the ubiquity of mobile devices and social media, today's biggest celebrities are expected to engage with their fans worldwide, yet traversing geographical borders and cultural differences is a challenge," CEO and co-founder of PressPlay Samuel Pearton said in a statement. "With PressPlay, Steph will have the power to connect directly with his fans in China. Our team is working closely with Steph in developing the type of engaging content his fans are clamoring for."
Since last season, cameras started following Curry during the Warrior's playoff stretch that ended in an NBA Finals lost to LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry will make a trip to China to promote the Under Armour brand in mid-September, and the cameras will keep on rolling to capture the superstar's activities.
Curry has been a private partner with PressPlay for some time.
"I'm very excited to have the chance to interact with my Chinese fans in a more meaningful way," Curry said. "My fans mean a great deal to me and PressPlay will help me reach them in ways I never thought possible."
Curry joins a long line of superstar athletes that have dipped their toes in the tech waters. Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Kobe Bryant each have unique tech ventures or funds that they have invested in.
