"Roofing," the latest extreme "sport" that seems to have begun in Russia in 2014, has a new and prettier face: fashion model turned "roofer" Angela Nikolau.

Nikolau, 23, from Moscow has become an Instagram sensation and the darling of roofing or "rooftopping" with a series of amazing photos showing selfies of her or solo photos of her taken mostly by her boyfriend atop some of the tallest and most dizzying monuments and buildings around the world.

One particularly erotic photo shows Nikolau and her boyfriend in a passionate kiss as they stood hundreds of feet above the ground perched on a narrow building ledge.

And she does it without wearing any safety harness. Nikolau, who's also an amateur photographer, has over 150,000 followers on Instagram.

Roofers scale buildings, bridges, cranes, and really tall landmarks for breathtaking views of the city or the countryside they capture in photos or on video.

On a recent visit to Asia, she went roofing atop some of Hong Kong's and China's tallest structures. She shared Instagram photos of herself clad in a bikini on a ledge of the Central Plaza skyscraper in the business district of Hong Kong. She also posted another poster of herself atop one of the towers of the Tsing Ma Bridge, the world's ninth longest suspension bridge.

And one of her posts from Tianjin, China is probably one of the most terrifying. The selfie shows this pretty daredevil standing atop a crane on a building under construction. This building, which is 640 meters tall, is currently the world's tallest construction site.

The stunt at Tianjin on Aug. 20, which Nikolau achieved with her new boyfriend, Ivan Kuznetsov, 22, drew widespread media coverage and criticism from the city government. The government blasted as dangerous and illegal the stunt where the couple climbed the crane.

For their part, the daredevil duo said they don't believe they're doing anything illegal. They just want to share their experiences with the world.

It goes without saying Nikolau, the adrenaline junkie, doesn't have acrophobia or an extreme fear of heights.

Nikolau confessed she does it for the thrill and the intense adrenaline rush. Her mantra is: "No limit, no control."

Roofing is one of the many extreme challenges that are part of "urban exploration" or "urbex," a worldwide craze among some of the bravest young people on the planet. A number of American and Russian roofers have plunged to their deaths roofing.
