The recently concluded 2016 Betfred World Snooker Championship that was held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield was watched by an estimated 210 million viewers on China's national broadcaster CCTV5, the world snooker governing body said on Wednesday.

Chinese Snooker superstar Ding Junhui achieved another historical milestone in his career by becoming the very first Asian player to reach the final round of the ongoing 2016 Betfred World Snookers Championships. Ding beat Alan McManus of Scotland with a 17-11 victory on Saturday at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
