As China Raises Concern over Agni-V Missile Test, India Claims Missile not Targeted Against any Third Country

India on Tuesday clarified that the Agni-V missile test was not targeted against any third country and the test was well within the international obligation. New Delhi's clarification comes barely hours after China cautiously responded to the Agni-V missile test, which was successfully tested on Monday morning in the Indian state of Odisha.

Without mentioning Pakistan, China on Tuesday urged to maintain strategic balance in South Asian region as India successfully test fired the nuclear capable Agni-V ballistic missile.

With an eye on China, India is gearing up to test its indigenous intercontinental ballistic missile. The nuclear capable missile that has been named as Agni-V can strike as far as northern China. The impending test would be fourth test of the missile, which will be conducted in eastern Indian state of Odisha.
