China Capital Investment Group Acquires Queensland's South Molle Island in Whitsunday

China Capital Investment Group bought South Molle Island Resort in the heart of the Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia, for a reported $25 million, just more than a year after acquiring the nearby Daydream Island Resort and Spa.
Record High: Chinese Tourists in Australia Reached Over 1 Million in 2015

The tourism in Australia continues to show positive signs as the number of Chinese visitors reached a record high in 2015. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), more than one million Chinese tourists took a trip to Australia last year.

Australia is implementing new measures aimed at further enticing Chinese tourists to come to the country as the government seeks to more than double the number of visitors from China to 1.49 million.
