Federal Agencies Start to Embrace Self-Driving Cars

The unprecedented progress and development of autonomous cars has forced federal authorities to rethink about their strategy towards this technology. As part of this transition, United States Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced on Wednesday that the agency will update its regulations and impose new policies regarding self-driving cars.

As the tech and auto community starts to shift focus to self-driving cars, a new dilemma is building up - especially for companies like Uber. Once autonomous cars hit the road in large numbers, Uber drivers will possibly lose their jobs. With this in mind, the company is planning to train its drivers in order to equip them with skills that they can rely on post-driving.
