China Unveils new Attack L-15B Jet Trainer Variant

China's Hongdu Aviation Industry Corporation has rolled out a new attack version of the L-15 Falcon advanced jet trainer, called the L-15B. The new variant was unveiled at the company's headquarter in Nanchang, the capital of the southeastern Chinese province of Jiangxi, on Monday.

China's twin engine J-31 could replace the single-engine J-10 as a medium fighter.

The prototype of China's improved J-31 stealth fighter has been ramping up test flights last month, stirring speculation that it will become the stealth fighter for Chinese aircraft carriers.

China claimed it successfully tested an indigenous scramjet with speeds of Mach 7 and altitude of up to 30 km.
