Disney’s 2017 Beauty and the Beast continues to sweep the box office all over the world. In China alone, Bill Condon’s masterpiece was reported by Shanghaiiist.com to have earned a whopping $45 Million during the previous weekend. This, apparently, shows that the gay-related controversies the movie has been facing since its opening date last week do not affect the inclination of the Chinese crowd towards seeing the much-awaited remake.

Hong Kong's Family School Sexual Orientation Discrimination Ordinance (SODO) calls to ban Disney's Beauty and the Beast remake in the country due to some gay scenes exhibited in the film, Shanghaiist.com reports.
