Two-division world champion Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) knocked down former lightweight title holder Brandon Rios (33-3-1, 24 KOs) in the ninth round of their scheduled 12-round WBO welterweight title fight on Saturday. While Bradley answered questions regarding a third fight with Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao after the encounter, Rios announced his retirement from the sport.

The highly-anticipated matchup between current WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley and former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios is reportedly “dead,” according to Rios’ manager Cameron Dunkin, as both fighters said to have demanded a compensation that is over the budget of broadcasting company HBO.
