China's high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), commonly known as the wealthy Chinese, prefer the United States and Canada as top destination to immigrate, even if both countries have recently changed its immigration policies recently.

At least 1,300 millionaires from mainland China have decided to sue the immigration authorities of Canada after it decided to terminate its immigrant investor program to which the complainants had applied for.
