One Billionaire Pops Up in China Every 5 Days

One billionaire pops up nearly every three days in Asia, and 50 percent of them are from China, according to a new report by Switzerland's UBS and advisory group PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on global billionaires in 2015 released on Thursday (Oct. 13).

China's parliament - the National People's Congress,(NPC) - kicked off its annual sessions on Saturday with a long list of billionaire-delegates attending what observers said is the largest political delegation in the country.

China's capital city Beijing has dethroned the United States' New York City as the city with the largest number of billionaires for the first time in history, according to China-based firm Hurun.

China-based wealth research firm 'Hurun' has revealed that the country has outpaced the U.S. to become home to the largest number of billionaires in the world. This is despite the economic slowdown and other problems like corruption and the stock market crash that has been plaguing Chinese businesses for over a year now.
