China Recovered Billions of Stolen Public Funds in 2015

The Chinese government has recovered more than 380 billion yuan ($58.6 billion) of stolen public money in just the first 11 months of 2015. The effort is aligned with the government's initiative to wipe out corruption in public spending.

China's anti-corruption watchdog announced on Monday that the former director of an agricultural center pocketed more than 800 million yuan of state funds. The guilty official has been removed from the Chinese Communist Party and is now facing various criminal charges.

A former chief of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) is facing bribery charges. The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced on Friday that sufficient evidence has been found linking Li Liang to corrupt practices.
China’s ‘Fox Hunt 2015’ Operation Sees 214 Suspects Apprehended and Repatriated from Abroad

Chinese authorities launched "Fox Hunt 2015" for the purpose of bringing back suspects who have fled the country. The one-month operation has since resulted in the capture and return of 214 people back to China, according to local sources.
