Police Arrest Mother Who Left Disabled Son In Woods

Police have issued a warrant of arrest for 41-year-old Nyia Parker who left her 21-year-old disabled son lying alone in a wooded area in Cobbs Creek, Philadelphia, covered with just a blanket. The victim, who is non-verbal and paralyzed from the neck down, is believed to have been in the woods for about five days until he was discovered by a man.
FEMA Asks Disabled, Elderly Residents To Repay Aid From Superstorm Sandy

In a bid to recover $5.8 million from 850 recipients of disaster aid extended to victims of superstorm Sandy, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has sent letters clawing back the money. However, some of those who got the letter are elderly and disabled residents who definitely have no financial capacity to repay four-digit figures.
