Japanese car maker Nissan and Chinese state-owned auto manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Group have announced a new partnership that will introduce affordable electric vehicles to the Chinese market.

As China steps up its efforts to ensure the quality of cars sold in the world's largest car market, Nissan Motors and its Chinese joint-venture partner Dongfeng Automobile announced plans to recall nearly 58,000 vehicles in the country.
