DreamWorks Animation is laying off some 500 people off its workforce following sizable box-office losses that affected the company’s finances.

DreamWorks, the creators of the all-time favorite movies, "Madagascar", "Shrek" and "Kung Fu Panda", is claimed to be selling their company to SoftBank Corp, Japan's telecommunications firm, according to a person familiar with the matter.
