BMW is planning to unveil a new version of its i3 electric car in 2017, which offers both practical and cosmetic improvements.

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration submitted a new law requiring both hyrbid and electric cars to make noise when travelling at low speed to alert pedestrian and avoid accidents.

The United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration passed a new rule on Monday that requires new hybrid and electric cars to make noise when they are travelling at low speeds. The new rule was passed in order for pedestrians, especially those with poor eyesight, to hear the cars that are coming.

The companies in the electric vehicle segment has been provided with several incentives by the Chinese government.
