The Yorkville Endoscopy clinic issued a statement that contested the claims that comedy icon Joan Rivers died of cardiac and respiratory arrest while undergoing a throat procedure.

After days of Joan Rivers being in a critical condition at the hospital, her daughter, Melissa Rivers, broke the news that her mother died at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York today.
