Hacking Group Rewards Hackers for Participating in DDoS Attacks

A cyberattack group based in Turkey is offering interested hackers to join a dedicated distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) platform and earn points which can then be exchanged for certain hacking tools. The platform is called Surface Defense and it asks hackers to target political websites using a DDoS tool called Balyoz which literally translates to Sledgehammer.

Symantec Corp and Kaspersky Lab have denied there were moves by China to exclude them from a list of foreign security vendors whose products are approved for sale to the country’s government agencies.
