Saudi Arabia Whips Blogger in Public For Anti-Islam Views

The Saudi Arabian government carried out on Friday the initial installment of a 1,000-lash punishment it meted in May on Raif Badawi who wrote anti-Islam articles in his blog. Besides the flogging, at 50 each week for 20 weeks, he was also given a 10-year prison term.

Iranian actress Leila Hatami has issued a public apology for kissing Cannes president, blaming the 83 year-old man, while Iranian students petition for her to be flogged and imprisoned in accordance to Islamic law.
