JD.com Makes it to Fortune 500; Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu Fail to Land a Spot

E-commerce website JD.com has debuted as the first Chinese internet firm on the Fortune 500 list. Surprisingly, China's top three Internet companies, Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu, failed to make it to the list, a proof that the list favors revenue over the company's actual value. In fact, a company's business model may have a significant effect on its revenue generation and in the valuation of its true worth.
