China Accuses U.S. of Taking Sides in South China Sea Arbitration Case

China has accused the American government on Friday of supporting the Philippines in an ongoing South China Sea arbitration in the Hague. Beijing's reaction was prompted by the comment of American State Undersecretary Daniel Russel that both claimants should respect and follow the decision of the arbitration body.

Google Search Engine No Longer Features Chinese Names of Disputed Shoal

Starting Tuesday July, 14, Google will no longer use the Chinese name of a shoal whose ownership is being hotly contested by both China and the Philippines. The Internet search engine made the decision after the Philippines protested.
