Unified HomeKit Application Rumored to Be Included in the Upcoming iOS 10 Update

Smart home appliances such as lighting systems, security alarms, and kitchen products that can be controlled through an Apple device have gained popularity in the last few years. Unfortunately, despite the increase in these innovations, users are still prompted to download separate apps in order to control these smart home gadgets. Thankfully, according to a source, Apple is rumored to have developed a unified Homekit app that would be able to replace third party applications.

Apple finally launched the much anticipated HomeKit, which is a framework in which the iOS gets connected to the home accessories. This framework was first introduced as the Worldwide Developers Conference which was held last year.

As per reports by the Fortune this home platform christened as HomeKit is all set to be used to access devices like door locks, lights etc.
