Tennis former world No. 1 women’s singles player Maria Sharapova may compete at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, the President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev told TASS on Wednesday.

The Latvian pharmaceutical company that manufactured and marketed meldonium, the drug that the WTA’s current world No. 7 Maria Sharapova tested positive for in the 2016 Australian Open, said that four to six weeks is the normal course prescribed for the medical use of the drug.
