China Needs More Diversified Senior Care Facilities, Ministry of Civil Affairs Says

China's elderly comprises about 15 percent of its total population, that is, there are 200 million individuals aged 60 years and above in the country. This number is estimated to increase to 243 million by 2020. To care for the growing number of elderly people, the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) is emphasizing the need for more diversified senior care facilities as well as small care homes that can serve those that are situated in local communities.
