Chinese State Media Calls India 'Spoilt, Smug, Golden Boy of the West'

In an attempt to defend China's opposition to India's entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), a state-run media outlet said that the West has "spoiled" India, describing it as "a bit smug" in the way that it handled international affairs.

Days after Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar made a secret two-day visit to China to seek its support for the Nuclear Suppliers' Group (NSG) membership, India's Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, said she's hopeful of securing Beijing's backing over its entry into the elite group.
