China Offers $7.2B Investment Quota to Ireland

China has granted a 50 billion yuan ($7.2 billion) investment quota to Ireland, which has been extended under China's Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) scheme. The announcement was made by the People's Bank of China on Wednesday.

China's security regulators on Friday said it will scrap limits on asset allocations under the Qualified Foreign Institution Investor (QFII) program in an attempt to attract more long-term capital, the official Shanghai Securities News posted on its website.
