Cavs To Cut Minutes Of Aging LeBron And Surgically-Repaired Kyrie
Cesar Tordesillas | | Aug 25, 2015 10:09 PM EDT |
The Cleveland Cavaliers revealed they signed Mo Williams and Richard Jefferson in order to cut LeBron James and Kyrie Irving's playing time next season and give them more rest. According to Yahoo Sports, it has been the Cavs' goal to reduce LeBron James' minutes like they did in 2014-15, which whittled down the superstar's minutes to the lowest of his career at 36.1. He played 69 games last season, his fewest in an 82-game season. The Cavs also want to make Irving's regular season workload light as he is coming off surgery for a fractured knee cap.
