Popular, and controversial, Chinese financial new anchor Rui Chenggang has been arrested by Chinese authorities on suspicion of corruption. Also detained was Li Yong, the financial news channel deputy director, and an unidentified producer at the network.

A prominent Chinese business journalist was arrested while preparing for his nightly news program at China's state television network Friday night. Rui Chenggang was conspicuously absent from the show, with only one anchor hosting and a second microphone vacant on the set.
