Valeant Raises Bid To US$10.96 Billion For Salix Pharma To Beat Endo International

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. hiked up its takeover bid for Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. , manufacturer of gastroinestinal drugs to US $10.96 billion cash on Monday, upstaging Endo International Plc., who was intially the only firm to make an offer.
