Government Offers $30 Million to SEC Whistleblower

Offering fraudulent tips and other information about illegal financial transactions earned an anonymous tipster $30 million from the Security and Exchange Commission. The payment seeks to encourage other people to offer leads on fraudulent activities they are aware of.
