Snapchat Quietly Acquires Israeli Augmented Reality Startup Cimagine

Popular messaging app Snapchat recently completed the company’s new acquisition. Reports revealed that Snapchat acquired Israeli startup Cimagine, a firm that working on an augmented reality platform that allows users to instantly visualize products that they are planning to buy.

Messaging platform Snapchat is once again making waves in the tech community following rumors that the company is working to broaden its market by making hardware devices. Snapchat is allegedly working on its own pair of smart glasses. Big tech companies like Google and Microsoft have been working on a similar device for quite some time already, but are yet to release a viable product.
