'Star Citizen' Developer Cloud Imperium Switches to Amazon’s Lumberyard Engine

Video game developer Cloud Imperium confirmed on Monday that it is ditching Crytek's CryEngine for Amazon's Lumberyard engine on its upcoming Alpha 2.6 release of "Star Citizen."

"Star Citizen Alpha 2.0" developer Cloud Imperium Games announced on Saturday that the game is already live for all players to access. The game has left its mark in history after its crowdfunding campaign reached $100 million - making it the largest video game crowdfunding campaign in history.
